Again, creepy music, creepier voice...but where's the beef?
The whole video is about how mysterious Dharma is...but the production of it is meant to imply that something evil is at work.
However, if you look at the facts...it's just usual Dharma activity.
For example, in this video, we have Olivia Goodspeed, who apparently disappeared.
We know from the show that she makes it safely to the Island and is teaching 5th grade to a bunch of little kids. Wow, Dharma really is PURE evil.
Pay close attention to these videos, and when each installment is done, ask yourself if Dharma really did anything other than protect itself from being disturbed...it's not like they're finding pools of blood at Olivia's apartment.
It is rather entertaining though, and you gotta love the style of the video.

The appearance of aliens in these "Mysteries" clips are the first sign of what may be the source of all the advanced technology/powers/abilities seen on LOST.
Or....it may just be another fake out.
I can't say it's impossible for Aliens to be an element(albeit a very minor one) in the show, there are the allusions to the floating island or the mothership etc etc that have been made both on the show and by the writers during interviews.
Personally, I would much rather prefer that Jaocb's powers, how Smokie came to be, and what created the donkey wheel/exotic matter....to never be explained.
Sure, they could say Aliens are behind all three, but that would rob Lost of it's mystique and the sense of wonder that we get while watching it.
I think most of the other elements, like why does Juliet's husband get hit by a bus, or how did everyone get on the plane, where was Locke getting his signal from, all the dead people, the whispers....will be explained in a very grounded, corporeal way next season.
So what will be left?
That said if anyone can pull it off without ruining the show, it would be the Lost writers. They could probably hint at the technology having landed on the earth without getting into specifics that would definitely compromise the integrity of the show.
We're talking about the future of the human race here (it is the driving plot element of all the action...a war is coming, save the world, all that)
Something very powerful on a universal scale is behind that. Something that can enable time travel and smoke monsters. In your theory (which I think makes the most sense) Jacob is that powerful element. Nemesis is not omniscent..Jacob is.
The source of Jacob and his allpower will be an important reveal, I think.
3 theories are floating around...God (or in some cases..gods), technology from the future, and now aliens.
I don't believe it will be technology from the future....because if the future kills the past there will be no future.
I'm now down to thinking God or Aliens.
It might be better if they don't reveal the source, as you say....but the show runners are saying they will reveal all by the end of season 6.
I like your line of thinking but have to disagree regarding future technology.
I think it would be very Lostian if it turned out that people from the future were sent back to change the past, but the act of sending them back was a catalyst for the very events they were determined to change.
Think of the Dharma Initiative, their goal was to change the valenzetti equation and avoid the end of the world..but in the scenario I've touched upon, they play an important role in bringing about the end of the world. The end of the world hinged on their desire to save the world. I think it could be the same case with regards to someone/something from the future...the sending back was an ingredient to the outcome they hoped to avoid.
